These are some of my favorite places for portrait sessions. All of the locations on this list are tried and true locations that offer a backdrop for session success. There are more location options I can provide you. These spots made the list for the ease of session, free of location fees (admission fees apply to Botanical Garden), and client pleasing imagery. I am always open to trying new places.
This Glendale location has a lot of charm. A country, farm feel that works in all seasons. The location features citrus orchards, white picket fencing, historic farming equipment, a tin roof red barn, old white brick buildings, vines, trellises, and country charm.
This location offers dreamy lake portraits in the heart of Phoenix. A portrait session with beautiful red mountain backdrops, a glistening lake view, and tall straw grass. The area also provides a desert backdrop.
Don't let the name scare you! This lovely spot on South Mountain is a dream and rich in Arizona history. Historic building structures offer rich color and texture. This location is a new spot. This grass sprawl in Paradise Valley offers wonderful depth of field. The grass varies from green to wheat color, depending on the season and rainfall. The trees also offer a fair amount of shade for your session.
This unique spot offers classic Spanish inspired courtyard with fountains, black iron gates/benches, Spanish tile, old wooden wagons/benches, church bell tower, and a small desert area. Located in North Scottsdale.
This Gilbert location is earthy, airy, and glowing. This location produces dreamy imagery with a great depth of field.
This gem is rich in earthy tones and textures and truly glows. This spot is located in Gilbert.
A cotton field is a dreamy photography location. It always produces stunning imagery. Glowing white in color and rich in contrast in B&W. The cotton field is only available for a short pocket of time in late October when the cotton blossoms before it is harvested.
This area is a sprawl of desert area with cholla and rich desert vegetation. A great option if you live in North Central Phoenix and don't want to travel far.
The city offers a wide variety of textures, colors, murals, and a contemporary/urban atmosphere. Mural are subject to change as art evolves downtown.
Papago Park Trails
This spot provides the iconic red mountains in the distance. The sunsets in this area are often colorful and vibrant due to the red dust in the air
Desert Botanical Gardens
This blooming garden features a beautiful desert plant and floral variety. This location requires admission fee's to be paid by clients and should not be booked during peak exhibit times to avoid massive crowds.
D.C. Ranch PArk
This spot offers a lush desert landscape and trails with mountains in the distance. The location also features a old green tractor and park, well as cut grass sprawl.
This modern urban spot offers a blend of clean buildings with rustic influence. The location is scattered with desert landscaping and influences. Located in Scottsdale.
This downtown Phoenix spot is modern and fun! This spot has towering smooth concrete walls with modern architecture, yellow farm doors, red bricking, a small rose garden, and bench seating.
This residential area park in Scottsdale offers a desert space with seasonal yellow blooming trees.
McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park
This park offers a backdrop of trains, and railroad tracks, a vintage carousel, red brick, trains, grass, leaves, benches, trees, and a playground.
